Modify Headers 0.6.5 was released over the weekend. This adds a new column on the list of headers to provide a comment for each entry. In addition an enhancement to float the admin window to the top if a user clicks on the Tools menu item was implemented.
The new release should update automatically for most users, or it can be downloaded At Mozilla Addons.
That’s a great news! 😀
I just tested it organizing my existing data. Then I exported my new configuration. However when I try to import this configuration it fails throwing this error: Error in import format: header, null.
Also I tried importing my old configuration (which didn’t include any comment column) and it doesn’t work either. The XMLs seem to be fine, I think it’s an internal problem when you parse the file.
Hi Diego,
I see a new ticket in bugzilla, I’ll take a look and fix it as soon as I can.
Cheers,
Gareth
great tool!
when using it frequently, a feature request appears:
to easily group some headers to switch easily from one testing mode to another by simply activating one group of headers and automatically disabeling all other headers.
this feature would be useful to test mobile websites for different groups of mobile phones, like old wap 1 handsets, newer xhtml phones and pda-phones. or to swith between different mobile operator settings (needed to test some mobile shop applications with mobile payment)
most important existing feature for me: import and export of settings! works great!
thanks for this great tool!

Feature request: click on a mailto link and have it go straight to the clipboard.
I assume this is a request for mailfrom. There is a right click option available for this already – provided by Firefox OOTB.
Nice job! Glad to hear the author is still supporting this addon.
This is the most usefull add-On to Firefox and it is essential for me. Thank you for the great work.
When will modify headers be available for Firefox 3.5 Beta4?
I didn’t know 3.5beta4 was out yet. I’ll grab a copy and validate in the next day or 2.
PLz provide a updated version of modify headers and XHTML mobile phone for version 3.5 beta 4
Thanks in advance
Hi Amit, it is coming soon.
Are you going to release Modify Headers for Seamonkey 2.x anytime soon?
A new version for Firefox with improved UI will be out later this year. A Seamonkey 2.x version will follow quickly.
