I’m pleased to announce version 0.7.1.0 of Modify Headers. Highlights include:
- New icon: thanks to dodihanz for the design.
- Click the small Modify Headers icon in the addon toolbar to open a quick menu.
- "Always On" preference is replaced by a Start/Stop button.
- Start/Stop Modify Headers by clicking the icon in the main window or using the menu from the addon bar.
- There are also a couple of bug fixes.
As always, go to modifyheaders.mozdev.org to open any new bugs.
is there any way to disable the bottom bar with the latest version of Modify Headers? I like the addon, but am not a fan of having to click the x every time I want to get rid of the bar.
Thanks
I just uploaded a new version that contains a fix for this problem.
Has something changed that means sites like the Daily Show can now tell I’m in the UK, because even after updating, suddenly they know. Which is such a shame because Modify Headers has worked like a charm for ages until now.
Make sure to click the grey icon to start Modify Headers. The icon will turn red to indicate the addon is enabled. Modify Headers will continue to be on, even between restart until you click stop.
ah god I just had same problem!
how in god’s name is the averaged pissed up UK user supposed to see that little icon? (it’s down on the bottom left)
can’t you just default it to on?
I speak as a pissed up UK user who just got a heart attack when he thought the daily show was gone forever
If you open the Modify Headers window, the icon is at the top left. I don’t want to default it to on as that is not the convention for software that changes standard behaviour of something.
I am (was) using Headers in Canada so I can watch video that gets blocked up here (Hulu, Comedy Central) and Firefox did some updates, I just clicked ‘yes’ to all, and now I get blocked opening video’s! – Your app was very cool, but now, something happened.
Any ideas?
Make sure to click the grey icon in the top left corner of the window. The icon will turn red and Modify Headers will be on.
